Hi Folks,
Thanks to all who attended the Web Design Meetup last night! I had a good time watching the Handcrafted CSS DVD from Dan Cederholm and, although I'd seen it before, picked up some great reminders. I hope you found it helpful too. :) You can find Dan's site at: I highly recommend Dan's books too: Looking for Work in Gig Harbor? Know a web designer, developer, or all-around web whiz who's looking for full-time work in Gig Harbor, WA? IvyCat Web Services is hiring a full-time Web Support Specialist. For details, questions, or to apply online, please visit West Sound Workforce. Coming Up I hope to see you at next month's meeting, where we'll have a guest speaker and our topic will be 'Web Security for Users and Designers.' Cheers, Eric |

Great meeting last night, Eric. I picked up a lot of good tips from the dvd... will definitely check out the books.
I had a link I wanted to share last night, but forgot... A DIY Web Design Education It's from Noupe, (which is a great resource anyway) and has a lot of good links for people wanting to learn more about web design on their own... everything from the basics to coding, design, user experience, image editing, business and more! The trick is finding time to read it all. |

Hi Everyone,
I enjoyed the dvd - it's always a big help to see tricks and hear tips on coding - looking forward to "experimenting". I feel fortunate to have found a local group of people to share opinions and information. FYI, here's a link to my blog where I keep links to articles from various sources on web desing, usability, and info. architecture, etc. I found when I'm commuting on the bus and cruising Twitter on my goofy little Blackberry, I come across things to read but that screen is just too small - even with glasses! So I send the links to this blog to read later on a monitor. You may find something that interests you. Check it out: http://tomfisher.post... -Tom |
