I'm a 22 year old self taught programmer, and so this meetup group fits my interests nicely. Been programming off-and-on since I was about 15, and have stayed away from anything with a Microsoft brand/license slapped onto it.

I fail as far as designing a good looking webpage, and have never had much interest in it, but I do know css and a fair amount of image editing.

Never touched flash, hate proprietary things, so I am happy to see html5 start to be used in some really amazing things!


I will certainly attend any meetups that are local enough to me. I won't be coming to the one in gig harbor however, bit too far for my unemployed self ahaha.
