Susan,
Good question... Here is a link to
An Event Apart's Seattle Conference page with lots of detail on the speakers and events scheduled for each day. I probably should have included that with the first email I sent.. :D Also, for those interested, we could try and set up a carpool for each day of the conference.
Cheers,
Eric

Eric,
I might be up for it. I couldn't see any kind of schedule of sessions or speakers but I just quickly checked it. Do you know the details of the planned sessions? I'm sure it will be good...just trying to justify the cost.
peace,
susan

Subject: [gigharborweb] An Event Apart - 2010 Seattle Conference

Hi All,
I'm interested in attending
An Event Apart's Seattle Conference this year, April 5-7th... As it turns out, they have a group rate: get a group of 5 people and the 6th attends free. There are three pricing options: all 3 days for $1190, first two conference days for $895, or the last workshop day for $399. If we have a mix of people choosing different pricing options they agreed to comp the 6th person at the two day rate of $895. So, what I was thinking is that we distribute that free attendance among all 6 attendees... or more if we get a bigger group. All those interested feel free to email call me to set up the group rate. I plan to attend all 3 days if I can get the vacation days. I'd like to get cash or checks from all those interested and then pay with my credit card, but I can be persuaded to let someone else put it all on their credit card if need be... :D The key point being, the person putting up their card for the group rate should have everyone's payment up front, before we all sign up for the group rate. I haven't checked if we could all sign up as a group but pay individually... that may be an ideal situation.. hmmm... I'll check on that tomorrow. If we can't do it that way, I'm sure we could devise some type of receipt for tax purposes. Anyhow, thought I'd throw this out there and see who's interested.
Cheers,
Eric Schmitt
