New Year's Web Design Meetup

“We have members of all skill levels, who use many different tools for design and development. It's a fun, laid-back group that is casually structured and very newbie-friendly.”

In our first meeting of 2008, we'll discuss:

Some ideas/goals for our group in the New Year.
Our personal design/development goals in the New Year.
Your questions/issues/rants

Plus we'll have a presentation and discussion called:

"The What, Why and How of CSS"

What are Cascading Stylesheets and why should we use them in our web designs?
Some cool tools for constructing and editing CSS.
Some basic CSS syntax every designer should know.

Of course, we like our presentations to contain lots of participation, so bring your CSS questions, tips, resources, rants and problems. ;)

NOTE: This meeting's on a Saturday morning because that's what was available on the schedule. Normally, we meet on a weekday evening. Drag yourself out of bed anyway - you won't be sorry.

Oh, and Dave said he might bring his Kinesis keyboard, which is supposed to be a little more ergonomic to cut down on repetitive stress.

I'm a little nervous about attending as it's my first one - but I'll be there. No one will be upset if I have nothing to bring, right?

Nope, Missie, no need to bring anything except yourself.

And, there's no need to be nervous, we're all a little introverted, none of us bite, and we get along nicely. :)
