This will be our Holiday Web Design Meetup in Gig Harbor.
Anyone interested in web design or development can attend: whether you're a website owner, a full or part-time designer or developer, or a student.
We're meeting at the Pierce County Library again since they have a large meeting room and free wireless access. Please RSVP if you plan to attend.
Since this is our last Meetup of this year, I thought we'd keep it rather light and fun. So I propose that we all come dressed as elves and make geek toys. ;)
Just kidding.
Seriously, I thought it would be fun if we all spend a few moments thinking about some of the things that have helped us design, develop, learn, and have fun on the web in 2007 and share these at the table.
So, let's all try to bring a Top 10 List that you can share with the rest of us. Here are some ideas:
* Software
* Hardware
* Languages, platforms, frameworks
* Web sites
* Other on- or off-line tools
* Podcasts
* Books, magazines
* People
* Whatever else you like
It's okay if you can't think of 10 things - just bring what you can and share it with the group. Feel free to bring a laptop if you'd like to demonstrate something. And, if you do make a list, consider printing out some copies for the rest of the group.
I'll volunteer to bring some sort of holiday treat (maybe cookies or something equally nutritious) and you can feel free to do the same. The meeting will start at 7pm.
Thanks again for all of your support in 2007 and I hope to see you tomorrow at the Gig Harbor Web Design Meetup.
