May Web Dev Meetup

Peninsula Library (map)

Selected By: Eric A.

Anyone interested in web design, development, or running websites can attend: whether you're a website owner, a designer, developer, student, or just want to learn more.

We're meeting at the Pierce County Library again since they have a large meeting room and free wireless access. Please RSVP if you plan to attend.

Agenda

It's Movie Night at the GH Web Design Meetup!

We'll be watching a video from Dan Cederholm from his book Handcrafted CSS, which covers ten CSS tips and tricks you can use right now to better your code.

I've seen the DVD and really enjoyed it. We'll likely watch it "interactively" - pausing where needed so people can ask/answer questions.

See you there!

So sorry to have missed the meeting. The friend I was taking to a birthday dinner across the street from the library locked her keys in her car in Port Orchard so I took a birthday dinner to her and ran out of time. See everyone next month!

I really liked the video. As a newbie to web dev, it helped me see the utility and advantages of CSS. And some of the nifty new-version things. Good conversation about it too. Thanks !!!

Found it helpful. Liked the workflow techniques using Web Developer Toolbar for Firefox. I have it installed but his use of it makes a lot of sense. If anyone doesn't have it installed, get it here: http://chri...
