Anyone interested in web design, development, or running websites can attend: whether you're a website owner, a designer, developer, student, or just want to learn more.
We're meeting at the Pierce County Library again since they have a large meeting room and free wireless access. Please RSVP if you plan to attend.
Agenda
This is our 3rd Annual Holiday Meetup and we're planning to have some good, geeky fun. Traditionally, our Holiday Meetup is a little more informal, but you're still welcome to bring questions, topics, problems, etc.
Here's what we're planning and asking of folks who are coming:
- Food. What are holidays without gobs of fattening sugar-laden food? I'll bring cookies, milk and cups. You're welcome to bring something if you like, but please don't feel like you have to bring anything except yourself. If you do plan on bringing something, please post a comment on the Dec Meetup page indicating what you intend to bring.
- Topics / Direction. What would you like to discuss in the coming year? We've had great suggestions at the meetings, and have topics scheduled through February. I'd suggest your top 5 to 10 things you'd like to see covered.
- Bring a 'Top Ten of 2009' list. This is a holiday tradition at our Meetup and I always get a kick out of it. Like a year in review, or Letterman's countdown, bring a geeky top ten list to share with the group - you decide the subject. Some ideas: top ten tools you use for web design/dev, top ten sites I use, favorite social networking sites, pet peeves on the web, examples of good design, examples of dastardly design, helpful books, organizations, etc . . .
So, hopefully, we'll see you tomorrow evening for our last Meetup of the Year. If you can't make it, I hope you have a Happy Holiday season and I look forward to seeing you next year.
I'll bring a laptop and we'll have a projector in case you'd like to demo things on the web.
Please join us. I think it will be a fun meeting with a good deal of laughs.
