Very trippy technology. Things definitely continue to get interesting. I haven't used it, but I saw that Photoshop CS4 already supports this kind of resizing.

Really cool.

Another technique, which isn't quite so dynamic is to apply the image as a background to a block level element that has a flexible width. Then, you align the image within the box and, when you stretch the browser window, more of the image is revealed.

Downside to this method is that it's really more like dynamic cropping as it's not resizing the image, just showing or hiding more or less of it.
